At our language school in Dresden you can learn German all year round at all levels, from beginning to university levels, from A1 to C2 according to the European Union Standards. We will also prepare you for ZD, TestDaF, DSH or ZMP examinations.

If you are a German beginner, we have special dates reserved for beginner courses.
If already have some prior knowledge of German, you can join your course in Dresden on any Monday of the year. With placement tests or trial classes you can quickly find the fitting course level and class for you. If possible, try to pick a date when a particular course is beginning. This way, you are best in step with our course system and the European Standards.

We teach German only in German according to the communicative method. The newest teaching material and its practical application in role-play games, learning projects, and excursions assist in the learning process.

>> German Intensive Courses in Dresden: Course 25h
For our German Intensive with 25 teaching hours per week, we guarantee that they will always take place at different levels. You can reserve a language course for 1 week up to several months.
The German Intensive Courses in Dresden usually take place Monday to Friday, from 09.30 am to 02.00 pm in small group averaging 8 students in size.

In the three Basic levels (A1 – B1) of our Standard-Intensive Course, youll learn to understand through listening and reading, pronunciation, grammar, writing, and basic vocabulary. The emphasis of the course is always to speak and make your self understood in everyday life.
Advanced Levels: Fundamental vocabulary and grammar as well as the other skills are systematically built upon. The focus of this course is on speaking freely and on the different uses of language in spoken and written German.

Levels: all 6 levels (A1-C2). Each level is covered by a 8 week Standard Intensive Course (200 lessons).

>> German Summer Courses in Dresden (Course 25h / Course 30h)
In July and August we offer our general German Course also as a Summer Course with 25 or 30 teaching hours per week. This course – for students of 16 and more years old - is more focused on cultural and local themes and combined with lots of fun in a daily and diverse leisure time program.
Levels: Course 25h: all levels (A1-C2); Course 30h: A2-C2.

If you are looking for maximum learning progress in the shortest time possible, and if you already possess some prior German knowledge, we recommend the Summer Course 30, with 6 lessons daily. Besides the Morning Classes there are 5 x 45 min. of Conversation Classes per week in the afternoon, where you will be compelled to actively participate at all times. You will research current themes and work together with students from around the globe to create presentations for land and cultural projects – always with the aid and support of your trainers.

The standard intensive course of 25 lessons per week in small groups, plus an extra 5 private classes a week. An intensive German language course aimed at students with time restrictions or who want to deepen their knowledge in a particular area.

>> Individual Classes (1-to-1)
You choose the subjects, duration, level and intensity of your German language course. To fully utilise your class time we require you send us your personal objectives before course initiation.

>> Junior Courses: German for chldren and teens (11-15) in Dresden
Our young students (11 – 15 years) learn in 20 teaching hours per week German with special methods for teenagers. This is in combination with moving around and playing games plus an extensive leisure, excursion, and sports program. They live and learn in our summer school residence where they are supervised by our qualified group leaders 24 hours a day.

>> DSH/TestDaF preparation course (25h) in Dresden
Levels: C1

Our 4 week intensive course for the DSH/ TestDaF preparation with 25 weekly lesson is ideal for you have already a C1/ level of German and would like to prepare effectively for the high demands of the DSH / TestDaf German language tests. In this course, the focus is on training skills and problem solving strategies that will be demanded of you in the tests. For example, we will practice different tasks like reading comprehension and text summary, scientific writing based on provided items or simulating an oral testing situation where you must speak with coherence about a topic from politics, technology or humanities.
The core of the training course is the exam simulation. You will take complete tests in the actual time restrictions. By means of realistic testing, you will get a feel for the demands and for the availability of the time permitted. After analyzing your results, you will receive help and valuable tips so that you will be optimally prepared on the day of the test.

>> Evening courses in Dresden: Course 4h
Timeplan Between 5.30 and 8.30 pm / two meetings weekly

If you are working or studying in Dresden and you would like to learn German on the side, or if you wish to improve your German for on the job, we recommend our German Evening Course. In this course, all the general German skills and knowledge is covered, but also language skills that you will need and can use everyday at your workplace. The lesson plans emphasize communication and are practically oriented. The smaller class groups allow students more opportunities to speak and to develop skills more quickly.

Technical Language: If you need to develop specialized language for a particular field, like economic, business, or scientific German,
we highly recommend additional private lessons.
